is citrus safe for my pup?
many citrus fruits naturally contain a chemical called psoralens. if consumed in large amounts, Psoralen can lead to an upset stomach. when considering the use of lemons it's important to note a couple of key safety measures that have been enacted to support the function and safety of our shampoo. When using citrus in the diet or topicals of your pup its always important to dilute citrus to a safe level, in our lemon-aid shampoo we dilute all our citrus oils (less than 1%) and juices (Less than 20%) to a level that only functions as a topical disinfectant and pest deterrent. Our lemon-aid shampoo also has the highest concentration of surfactants ( Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, aka "baby foam") to support the removal of excess citrus residue and leaving your pup completely clean.
